I M Pei: Museum of Islamic Art
The Museum of Islamic Art designed by I.M. Pei has very technical drawings to convey its ideas. This seems to translate the fact that it is not a very organic shaped building so I very artistic style would not suit this building. The plans appear to be computer done and not hand drawn which supports the technical aspects of the plans. The emphasized right angles in the design of building seem to mirror the cold, starkness of the plans.
Walt Disney Concert Hall
Frank Gehry's Concert Hall in Los Angeles design was started in 1987 and was finally finished in 2003. The organic sculptural shapes are made from steel and shine in the brilliant sun. The free form original sketch style of Gehry seems to translate the abstract forms of the sculptural shapes. The fact that he has a bit of hatching that seems to reflect the squares of the sheet stainless steel exterior.
Lost City Of Petra
This is the city of Petra in Jordan. I am completly amazed by this feat as it was constructed in 100 BC. Petra is now one of the new Seven wonders of the world, and is also a World Historical Site. Of the many buildings that make up Petra only is freestanding, all others are carved out of the mountain. The one freestanding building has been almost completely carved out of rock with the exception of that of wood that has been laid in between layers of carved stone to help absorb shock from earthquakes. The fact that in 100BC they were able to apply this kind of knowledge of building materials this early in our history, and for it to have lasted this long with very little damage and is still standing today with very little upkeep. Today, we simply don't have the use of materials and strength to last that long without constant upkeep.

Second Environment
This draft environment is for TreeDweller. He is a nomad and moves from place to place around the desert. No one realizes he is there and there is always so little vegetation no one notices when he moves as the wind erases all his trails. Since he doesn't have a dwelling and moves around I didn't know how I would be able to create a section or a site plan for him.

Environment
The idea for the environment for LoonieHorse was quite simple. I saw it as a simple old school farm as you would picture in storybooks. The picturesque rolling hills in different colours and trees atop each hill for animals to find shade underneath. Of course no storybook farm is complete without the token Wooden Red Barn. In this instance since LoonieHorse is able to fly I have taken a new look on an old classic in that the top where hay would classically been stored there are stables for the family to fly up to and curl up in at the end of a long day.
